In 2023, we undertook the difficult task of developing a conference that broke the mold in terms of its approach, theme, and structure. The objectives of that conference were to address Uncertain Landscapes as a conceptual tool for rethinking our way of being in the world, breaking down disciplinary boundaries, and seeking new positions in the present, based on the past and moving toward a more permeable future. We did not see time as a barrier, but as a driver. We believe the experience was a success. You can see part of that initiative in the videos of the conferences and debates with the participating keynote speakers:

These discussions helped to resolve uncertainties and raise new questions. Above all, UL and Lab2PT, the research unit at the University of Minho that promoted the initiative, adopted a proactive stance committed to the landscape.
In 2025, we took on the challenge of promoting a second conference to be held in November 2026, once again at the Jordão Theater in Guimarães.
We look forward to seeing you there.
