REVIEW PROCESS
All abstracts and papers submitted will undergo a blind review process carried out at least by two members of the Scientific Committee. The review criteria are as follows - Novelty - Level of contribution - Validity of conclusions - Industrial or application perspective - Formal qualities of the work. Stage 1: The authors submit their work electronically in one of two categories (abstract or paper). All works should be submitted in unsecured PDF. At this stage, the items MUST NOT CONTAIN ANY INFORMATION ABOUT THE AUTHORS OR ANY OTHER ELEMENTS OF IDENTIFICATION. Stage 2: The result of the first revision stage is published and the electronic submission for the final version of accepted abstracts/papers is opened. These are "camera-ready" versions in PDF format, corrected according to the reviewers' comments, and now must include information about the authorship of the article. For each registered participant one work will be included in the congress. Each author (not students) can have a maximum of two works. The second work (extra paper) has an additional fee according to the table presented in Registration. All accepted works will be published provided they are received within the deadline and comply with the defined formatting rules. Full papers accepted in the first phase may be rejected in the second phase if the changes requested by the reviewers are not made. Important notes: • Considering the time limitations for oral presentations, some authors may be invited to present their papers as an electronic poster. • At least one of the authors must be registered until the deadlines indicated in the Registration section. If no author is registered until that date, papers will be removed from the program and publications. The works published in the Proceedings Book will be made available on open access, on the congress site, and are licensed under a Creative Commons License - Attribution-Noncommercial-Ban conducting Derivative Works 3.0 License. Oral Presentations The authors will be allowed 10 (option A) or 20 minutes for presentation (option B). At the end of the session, a period of questions and discussion will take place. The presenting authors should remain for this discussion. The format of the presentations is free. Presentation is made in english. The rooms will be equipped with a personal computer and multimedia projector capable of playing Powerpoint presentations or PDFs. For other contents, e.g. videos, please contact us in advance so that we can prepare the appropriate software. The authors should arrive at the room 15 minutes before the start of the session in order to copy the presentation to the available computer. The session chair and conference staff will be present to take care of this. We recommend testing the presentations before the session and bring a version of the presentation in PDF. The presenting author should provide the session chair with a mini-CV having two or three sentences referring to the author's academic background and research interests. This text should be printed. There is no need to send any information before the Congress. |
